The purpose of this position involves providing excellent medical care to our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital patients and outstanding customer care to their owners. The Veterinary Assistant embodies our mission and values to all clients. They set the tone for technical and customer support in the hospital and are responsible for fostering cohesion and motivation within the team.

Work is supervised directly by veterinarians and the Veterinary Technician, with overall direction from the HOM/HLOD or shift supervisor. The role is crucial for ensuring efficient hospital operations and high-quality patient care.
This position contributes to practice growth, high standards of care, and a cohesive, motivated technical team, ultimately promoting employee retention, patient well-being, and customer satisfaction.
Primarily in the hospital, involving bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing for long periods. Significant client and pet contact.
Regular communication with clients, specialists, and suppliers.
