South Windsor Veterinary Clinic in Manchester, CT seeks a Veterinary Assistant to join our Rarebreed team. You will provide compassionate care to pets and families, assist with restraints, exams, and surgeries, and help maintain medical records and exam rooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Perform restraint for blood draws, X-rays and physical exams
• Perform restraint on both feline and canine patients
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record your observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

South Windsor Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our team. South Windsor Veterinary Clinic is a small animal general practice located in Manchester, CT. The practice itself has been well established for over 20 years in the community, and we pride ourselves on a small town-homey feel that is extremely family oriented not only for our clients but our staff as well. Our typical day consists of seeing a mix of both sick and wellness appointments, as well as surgery days for dentals and routine surgeries. WHAT YOU'LL DO
