Job summary

Family Pet Hospital in Colorado is seeking an advanced clinical assistant to join our small, close-knit team. The role carries real responsibility; experience is preferred but we welcome driven learners who want to grow with us in veterinary medicine.

You will perform technician appointments, assist doctors, run in-house diagnostics, support sedation, place IVs, take radiographs, mentor newer teammates, and help communicate treatment plans to clients.

Qualifications

• Strong client communication in stressful situations
• Desire to grow within veterinary medicine
• Ability to take ownership and work independently

Responsibilities

• Perform technician appointments independently
• Assist doctors in exam rooms and explain treatment plans
• Perform treatments and support sedation/ minor procedures
• Run in-house diagnostics (blood draws, urinalysis, SNAP tests, ear cytologies)
• Place IV catheters and prepare/dispense medications
• Take and submit diagnostic radiographs
• Mentor newer clinical teammates

What you will do:

• Perform technician appointments independently
• Assist doctors in exam rooms and help communicate treatment plans to clients
• Perform treatments on patients as directed
• Support sedation and minor procedures
• Run in-house diagnostics including blood draws, urinalysis, SNAP tests, and ear cytologies
• Place IV catheters and prepare and dispense medications
• Take and submit diagnostic radiographs
• Mentor and support newer clinical teammates

Pay and benefits:

$22.00–$26.00/hr based on experience

• Health insurance (FPH covers 99% of the cost)
