Bellevue Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast paced 3 doctor small animal practice located in Little Rock, AR. A 6-month position with potential to become a permanent, long-term opportunity.

Job duties include restraint, triage, lab analysis, imaging, nursing care of medical/hospitalized cases, medications, and clear communication of treatment plans with clients, as well as surgical prep and anesthesia management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Veterinary Assistant preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team player with strong communication.
• Ability to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs; anesthesia monitoring a bonus.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Restrain pets safely and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze laboratory samples.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and assist in surgeries.
• Manage medical and hospitalized patients; assist in anesthesia.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients.

Job description

Bellevue Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast paced 3 doctor small animal practice located in Little Rock, AR. We have developed strong relationships with our clients. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, Urgent Care, High Speed Dentistry, Cold Laser Therapy, In-House Diagnostics, Digital full body and dental radiology, Ultrasonography, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding and more. We are proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

This is a 6-month position with potential to become a permanent, long-term opportunity.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• An experienced Veterinary Assistantwith a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
