Position Purpose
The purpose of this position involves providing excellent medical care to Vetco Total Care hospital patients and phenomenal customer care to their owners. The Veterinary Assistant represents the mission and values to all clients. Our Veterinary Assistants set the tone for technical and customer support, fostering cohesion and motivation within the practice.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision
The incumbent receives direct supervision from veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians, and overall direction from HOM/HLOD or shift supervisor.
Planning and Problem Solving
Ensure efficient hospital operations and an optimal experience for patients and clients. Contribute to a cohesive, well-trained, motivated technical team to promote retention, patient well-being, and customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no immediate supervisory duties.
Education/Experience
Work Environment
Primarily in the hospital, requiring bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and standing for long periods. Significant contact with clients and pets.
Contacts
Regular communication with clients, veterinary specialists, and suppliers.
