Well Pets Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We are an AAHA-accredited, extended Urgent Care hours veterinary hospital operating in a new, state-of-the-art building. We offer a comprehensive training program to support all levels of veterinary assistant experience, ensuring our team members are set up for success. Shift Details:
Some weekend and holiday availability required, including days and evenings.

Compensation:
$15 to $20 per hour, based on experience.

Job Summary: The Veterinary Assistant supports the medical team by assisting with patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring efficient hospital operations in accordance with MVP policies. Provides medical care to patients as permitted by law.

Responsibilities include:

• Upholding MVP's Core Values and Mission
• Assisting in daily clinic duties
• Participating in cleaning duties
• Providing client care: scheduling, payments, check-ins
• Maintaining excellent communication
• Accurately recording medical and client information
• Reviewing records and instructions with clients
• Providing patient care under DVM supervision
• Performing clinic and equipment maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of veterinary experience
• Management experience preferred
• Proficiency in lab, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, nursing skills
• Patience, composure, and ability to handle stress
• Strong reasoning, memory, math, and communication skills
• Comfort around pets

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb
• Endurance for extended periods of sitting, standing, walking
• Ability to work in noisy conditions with animals and equipment
• Exposure to pets, anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, medications
• Sufficient ambulatory and vision skills
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
