Hotham Veterinary Services-Houlton in Houlton, ME is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. You will help reimagine the veterinary experience with compassionate care and the latest technology, while contributing to patient well-being and family communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones.
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Perform physical assessments and record observations.
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients.
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions.
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms; inform inventory manager when supplies need ordering.
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room stocked and prepared for surgery.

Hotham Veterinary Services is looking to add a part time, compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our team. At Hotham's Veterinary Services, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. As part of our team, you'll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to the pet patients we all love.

Hotham Veterinary Services is currently a 4-doctor practice with 2 locations. Our first hospital in Presque Isle and a second location in Houlton, Maine. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Previous experience in the veterinary industry is not required but strongly preferred
