Job summary

Town & Country Animal Clinic in Texas is hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our dedicated team. We seek a dependable, compassionate professional focused on exceptional patient care and client service.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, preparing rooms, kennel duties, collecting samples, assisting in surgery and anesthesia monitoring, and maintaining medical records. Open to evenings, weekends, holidays.

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Passion for animal health and welfare with compassionate patient care.
  • Ability to work safely with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely assist with patient handling and restraint during examinations and treatments.
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized, sanitary hospital environment.
  • Perform kennel duties including feeding, watering, walking boarded patients, cleaning kennels, and picking up after animals.
  • Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other diagnostic samples as directed.
  • Assist with surgical preparation and monitoring, including anesthesia monitoring under veterinary supervision.
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding patient care.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Support daily hospital operations and perform additional duties as assigned

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the practice is essential. Candidates should have open, flexible scheduling availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, along with basic computer proficiency.
