Position Overview:

The Veterinary Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring smooth patient visits. This is a hands-on position requiring animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and assist with patient intake
• Obtain patient weight and medical history accurately
• Restrain pets safely during exams and procedures
• Prepare vaccines and medications as directed by the doctor
• Assist with filling and labeling medications
• Clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms after visits
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Provide compassionate support to clients and pets

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in veterinary or animal care preferred
