Job summary

Thrive Germantown is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to play a key role in providing end-to-end care for our patients. You will assist veterinarians, facilitate outpatient treatments, and support admissions and discharges within a community-oriented hospital.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems and obtain relevant health histories from clients.
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and added treatments.
  • Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
  • Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience withahourly pay rate starting at $21 - $24/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
