Job summary

California Veterinary Hospital, part of United Veterinary Care, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support doctors and technicians while delivering compassionate care to patients and clear, helpful communication to pet owners. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient clinic operations.

You will assist with surgeries and procedures, manage pre- and post-operative care, and help maintain a clean, well-equipped hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary or medical experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers (EMR systems, email, basic programs).
• Strong technical and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication with clients and team members.

Compensation

$19–$24/hour (DOE)

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Able to lift/restrain pets up to 40 lbs and be on your feet throughout the day
