Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a veterinary assistant, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will include facilitating outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, assisting in surgeries, and supporting services like admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain relevant medical records with practice systems.
• Gather health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Support and mentor fellow team members.
