Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant at Pacifc Avenue Veterianry Clinic to confidently place IV catheters, draw blood, and monitor hospitalized and critical patients. You will assist veterinarians during treatments, support patient comfort and safety, and help maintain an efficient treatment area in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong restraint skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while collaborating across clinic areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a Veterinary Assistant.
• Confidence in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws.
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations.
• Ability to participate in any area of the clinic as needed.
