Job summary

Sabal Palm Animal Hospital in Florida is seeking Veterinary Assistants. We offer up to $17.50 per hour depending on current skills/experience, with benefits such as health insurance eligibility, paid time off, holidays, and pet care discounts.

You will provide excellent client service, maintain patient records, assist doctors and technicians with animal handling and treatments, answer calls, triage concerns, process payments, and help keep the facility clean. Some Saturday shifts are necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary clinic preferred.
• Some Saturday shifts will be necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service care and communication for clients.
• Maintain patient information and records.
• Assist doctors and technicians with animal handling and patient treatments.
• Answer phone calls and learn to triage client concerns.
• Process payments.
• Contribute to daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
