Job summary

Sabal Palm Animal Hospital in Florida is seeking Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our full-service small animal team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate client service, maintain precise patient records, and assist with surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring.

The role emphasizes Fear Free handling, accurate imaging with digital x-rays, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and clear communication with clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Veterinary Technician credentials or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and communication for clients.
• Maintain patient information and records.
• Provide safe and “Fear Free” handling for patients.
• Perform and coordinate patient treatments.
• Surgical prep.
• Anesthesia monitoring.
• Digital x-rays and digital dental x-rays.
• Venipuncture.
• IV catheter placement.
• Phone call management and triage of client concerns.
• Payment processing.
• Daily cleaning/maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Certified Veterinarian Technician Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Certified Veterinary Technician credentials or equivalent experience preferred
