Job summary

VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital in Edmond, OK is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for full-time roles, including weekends. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience.

You will support the Doctor and Technician teams to deliver outstanding client experiences and excellent patient care. Responsibilities include restraining and assisting during exams, taking medical histories, vital signs, laboratory work, imaging, and maintaining medical records.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and full-time hours.
• Strong client service and communication skills.

VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital is located in Edmond, OK. We see dogs, cats, reptiles and pocket pets. We are a busy practice with 7 doctors, which gives us a great sense of family!

Location: Edmond, OK

Full-time, weekends

Pay: $20.00 - 24.00/hr based on experience

As a member of the VCA team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
