Job summary

VCA Fairway Animal Hospital is expanding its team and seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians while ensuring positive experiences for pets and their families. The role is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys teamwork, and wants to grow in veterinary medicine.

We offer a full-time schedule with 4/10-hour shifts and rotating Saturdays, along with a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures.
• Collect patient histories and support client communication.
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized pets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs.
• Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records.

Compensation : $ 16 - $ 18 / hr and pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, and skills.

Schedule : Full-time with 4/10 hour shifts and rotating Saturdays.
