Northfield Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Assistant!

Job Summary

Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full‑time or Part‑time
Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Three‑day work week (part‑time) or four‑day work week (full‑time); no overnights or on‑call shifts

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
  • Support urgent care appointments and patient flow throughout the hospital
  • Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostics, and procedures
  • Assist with laboratory testing, sample collection, and patient monitoring
  • Support surgical and dental procedures as directed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
  • Deliver compassionate care while supporting a fast‑paced veterinary team
Qualifications
  • Previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
  • Strong patient handling and restraint skills
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment
