Job summary

VCA Wakulla Animal Hospital in Crawfordville, FL is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support technicians and doctors and help create a calm, efficient clinic.

You will assist with patient care, labs, pharmacy, imaging, anesthesia prep, dentistry, and recordkeeping while delivering compassionate client service and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, client-focused veterinary support experience preferred.
• Ability to assist veterinarians and technicians with routine tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and doctors in daily patient care and workflow.
• Support lab work, sample collection, and processing.
• Handle pharmacy tasks and medication administration under supervision.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging preparation and execution.
• Aid in surgical prep, assisting, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communications.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $16 - $18 / hour
