VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital & Emergency Center in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our unique Emergency and GP practice. This full-time role supports Doctor and Technician teams while delivering a calm client experience and exemplary patient care.

You will assist with exams, histories, lab work, imaging, and medical records, ensuring a clean, safe hospital environment and compassionate care for hospitalized animals.

Qualifications

• Assist Doctor and Technician teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
• Take detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Maintain medical records and assist with procedures.
• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.

Responsibilities

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
