Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and procedures.

  • Provide friendly, professional service to clients and their pets.

Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience

Adams County Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our small‑animal general practice team. We provide wellness care, same‑day sick appointments, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and preventive care in a supportive, team‑focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during appointments and procedures

  • Safely restrain dogs and cats using compassionate, low‑stress techniques

  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas

  • Assist with laboratory testing, radiographs, treatments, and sample collection

  • Support surgical and dental preparation, monitoring, and recovery

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain hospital equipment and patient‑care areas

  • Accurately document patient information and communicate with the medical team
