VCA Douglas County Animal Hospital - Veterinary Assistant Position

VCA Douglas County Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Location: 531 Jerry St Castle Rock, CO 80104

Job Type: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - 19.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Responsibilities

1. Supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
2. Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system.
3. Checking in patients and connecting with clients.
4. Learning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentation.
5. Working with a supervising Doctor to complete and submit medical records.
6. Communicating with patients and supervising doctors professionally.
7. Helping electronically prescribe medication for patients.
8. Assisting veterinary technicians with restraint, vaccinations, etc.
