Arlington Heights Veterinary Hospital, located in Bloomington, IN, is a veterinary hospital that puts your animals’ needs first and foremost. As a Doctor’s Assistant, you will work closely with the veterinarian during routine physical exams and experience the thrill of assisting in procedures like C-sections delivering puppies or knee surgeries like CCL repairs. The adventures are never-ending!

Not everyone can be a Doctor’s Assistant. To be considered, you should have:

  • A 2-4 year degree or be currently in college, striving to further your education
  • True compassion for animals and a desire to provide the best care

  • Teamwork skills, with self-motivation and collaboration

You will be responsible for:

  • Educating clients on simple procedures and the importance of preventive care
  • Applying your knowledge to improve team function and efficiency
  • Communicating positively with clients and team members, including explaining blood work results and follow-up care
  • Performing blood smears, running in-house tests, preparing samples, placing IV catheters, and assisting with surgeries and radiographs
  • Treating every pet as if it were your own, demonstrating kindness and trustworthiness
  • Qualifications: We prefer experienced assistants but will consider all applicants on a case-by-case basis
