Job Description
Responsibilities include pet restraint, triage, lab sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing of medical and hospitalized cases, medication administration, communication with clients, surgical prep and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must tolerate odors and noises and be prepared for exposure to animals and potential diseases.
Opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training are available.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience preferred.
- Compassionate, calm, team-oriented, multitasker, strong communicator.
- Ability to properly restrain pets.
- Skills in sample collection, medical histories, lab tests, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a plus.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow.
Schedule: 8 am to 6 pm, 4 days a week.
Pay Range: $16 - $18.50/hr.
