Job summary

Mill Brook Animal Clinic in Arlington, MA is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our 1.5-doctor general practice. You’ll provide patient care, maintain records, and support exam rooms and treatment areas.

We empower our team with cutting-edge care, state-of-the-art training, and a friendly, supportive culture. The position offers hourly pay of $22–$27, with evenings required, and opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience.
• Experience with medical records documentation.
• Surgical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

Mill Brook Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our 1.5 doctor general practice in Arlington, Massachusetts-a lovely, community focused town with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent clientele. We are a technician/assistant driven clinic that empowers our team to work to their maximum potential, and we’re looking for a candidate with 1+ years of experience (surgical experience is a plus) who brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, a passion for patient care, and a collaborative team mindset to our fun and diverse workplace.

What You’ll Do
