Job summary

NOVA Cat Clinic in Arlington, VA is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. You’ll work with the latest technology in a cat‑friendly, stress‑free environment, supporting gold standard medicine and surgery.

As part of Rarebreed Veterinary Partners, you’ll help provide preventive care, collaborate with owners, and ensure high‑quality care for our feline patients and their families. This is a full‑time position on site in Arlington.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CVT or LVT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones.
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Perform physical assessments and record your observations.
• Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures; monitor anesthesia and recovery.
• Stock clinic areas and inform inventory when supplies are needed.
• Explain follow‑up and home care instructions.

NOVA Cat Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. NOVA Cat Clinic – we are the only Cat‑Friendly Practice inside the beltway. We are a full‑service medical center for cats specializing in preventive medicine, responsive treatment, and collaboration with owners. Our clinic is here to make a comfortable and stress‑free environment for clients and their cats!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record your observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow‑up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids)
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery
