Position: Veterinary Assistant

Location: Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital

Status: Part-Time Belly Rubber / Full-Time Life Saver

Are you fluent in meows, woofs, and the occasional side-eye from a sassy cat? Do your friends call you the “animal whisperer”? Can you rock scrubs like nobody's business and clean up after a Great Dane like it's no big deal? Then you might be the purr-fect fit for our team!

At Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital, we’re more than just a veterinary clinic — we’re a close-knit crew of animal lovers who believe in compassionate care, teamwork, and laughing through the fur and the chaos.

What You’ll Do (besides giving the best ear scritches ever):

• Assist our doctors and techs during exams and procedures
• Comfort nervous pets (and their humans)
• Prep surgical areas and sterilize instruments (you’ll be the behind-the-scenes MVP)
• Handle a little bit of everything — from nail trims to puppy snuggles
• Channel your inner Sherlock when it comes to patient symptoms
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience preferred, enthusiasm required
• Calm under pressure, quick on your feet, and not afraid of a little fur in your coffee
• Team player with a sense of humor and a love for all creatures, great and small
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and wrestle the occasional wiggly Labrador
