Job description

Overview

Veterinary Anatomic Pathology Faculty (St Kitts) – in-person opportunity on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. This position is part of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM).

Responsibilities
  • Teach pathology and histology within the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.
  • Provide diagnostic pathology services (autopsy and surgical biopsies) to the Ross University Veterinary Clinic.
  • Contribute to the research output of the institution and train at least one pathology resident.
  • Collaborate with a pathology team comprising board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologists and report to the Head of the Biomedical Sciences Department.
Qualifications
  • DVM or equivalent degree; Board Certification (preferred) or board eligible (ACVP or ECVP) in veterinary anatomic pathology; experience teaching professional veterinary students and graduate students; PhD highly desirable.
  • Must be willing to reside on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts.
  • Ability to develop an independent or collaborative research program aligned with RUSVM focus areas; demonstrated publication record and experience supervising postgraduate students.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills; ability to motivate students and peers and promote collegiality and collaboration.
