Job summary

Jobot is seeking a veterinarian to provide comprehensive general practice care at a local animal hospital in West Hollywood. The role includes wellness exams, vaccines, preventive care, sick visits, and management of chronic disease.

The candidate should have a DVM or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in California, with 1–4 years of small animal experience and a strong interest in surgery and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive general practice care, including wellness exams, vaccines and preventive medicine.
  • Perform thorough physical exams, diagnostic plans, and communicate findings to clients.
  • Diagnose and treat common small animal conditions with emphasis on GP care.
  • Perform or develop proficiency in soft tissue surgery, dental work, and routine procedures.
  • Interpret diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, radiographs) and maintain medical records.
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, nutrition, medications, and follow-ups.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive general practice care, including wellness exams, vaccines, preventive medicine, sick visits, and chronic disease management
  • Perform thorough physical exams, create diagnostic plans, and communicate findings clearly with clients
  • Diagnose and treat common small animal conditions, including dermatology, gastrointestinal issues, ear infections, urinary concerns, respiratory issues, lameness, and routine internal medicine cases
  • Perform or develop proficiency in general surgery, including spays, neuters, mass removals, laceration repairs, dental extractions, and other soft tissue procedures
  • Interpret diagnostics, including bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, radiographs, and other routine in-house testing
  • Partner with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care and strong client service
  • Educate pet owners on treatment plans, preventive care, nutrition, medications, and follow-up recommendations
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records
  • Collaborate with fellow veterinarians on complex cases and participate in case discussions
  • Refer cases to specialists or emergency hospitals when appropriate
Qualifications
  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Active veterinary license, or ability to obtain licensure in [State]
  • 1–4 years of small animal clinical experience preferred
  • Strong interest in general practice, preventive care, and general surgery
  • Comfortable managing routine GP cases independently while knowing when to ask for support
  • Interest in growing surgical skills through mentorship and hands‑on experience

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and anesthesia
  • Comfort discussing estimates, treatment options, and follow‑up care with clients
  • Interest in long‑term growth within a collaborative hospital setting
