Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a compassionate Regional Support Veterinarian to back multiple Connecticut clinics, including Avon, Seymour, Groton, and Danbury. The role involves traveling regularly to support hospitals with high clinical demand while delivering excellent patient care and client communication.

The ideal candidate holds a DVM/VMD, has a valid state license, and demonstrates strong diagnostic, surgical, and team-oriented skills.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD with valid license to practice veterinary medicine.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of veterinary practice experience.
• Excellent diagnostic, clinical, surgical and dental skills.
• Strong communication and client-relations abilities.
• Ability to work across multiple clinics and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Deliver high-quality veterinary care and client education.
• Assist with surgeries and dental procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Prescribe medications following proper protocols and regulation.
• Collaborate with Hospital and Regional Managers to set weekly priorities.
• Support and mentor other veterinary staff across clinics.
