Job summary

Petco Total Care is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care in our full-service hospital. You will diagnose, treat, and manage patient care with a focus on dentistry and anesthesia, supported by a skilled medical team.

Active licensure and DEA are required, with opportunities to lead clinical rounds and mentor staff while delivering exceptional patient and client experiences in a fast-paced, pet-centric environment.

Qualifications

• DVM degree or equivalent from AVMA-accredited school.
• Active veterinary licensure in the state of practice.
• Current DEA license.
• Current Controlled Substance license if applicable.
• USDA accreditation or ability to obtain within two months.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care with exams, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Develop problem-based treatment plans and differential diagnoses.
• Document observations and diagnoses in medical records.
• Perform routine and complex surgeries including spays/neuters and mass removals.
• Perform routine and complex dental procedures including radiographs and extractions.
• Lead and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and teamwork.
