Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre is welcoming a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work with board-certified specialists and engage in cutting-edge veterinary medicine. Western is expanding its emergency services to meet the needs of the local veterinary community, aiming to provide a long-term career with a sustainable shift-rotation schedule and a stimulating yet manageable caseload.

We strive to provide a respectful, educational, productive, fun, and collaborative work environment focused on delivering world-class veterinary services and patient care. Our team includes specialists and emergency veterinarians working closely together, with specialists providing on-call support for complex cases. Candidates should have previous emergency experience; completion of an internship is an asset but not required. We value exceptional client service and communication skills. Our 24-hour emergency department is led by three Criticalists and two Critical Care Residents, supported by experienced emergency veterinarians. Join Calgary’s team of veterinary specialists.

Schedule: The emergency team works a rotational schedule including overnights and weekends to ensure an even workload distribution and an improved hospital experience. Our specialists also provide after-hours support.
