Who We Are

Shenandoah Veterinary Associates is a privately owned emergency and urgent care hospital, founded by two veterinarians who bring a combined 60+ years of experience to the practice. Our newly built, thoughtfully designed space was created with employee comfort, teamwork, and efficiency in mind — and with real room to grow. We opened in December 2025 and have already earned strong community support, with steady growth and enthusiastic feedback from clients since day one.

Emergency and urgent care are our focus today, with boarded specialty care on the horizon — including planned MRI and CT installation and a developing blood bank program.

State-of-the-art surgery suite, plus a second approved surgical suite
Siemens ultrasound (Juniper)
IDEXX digital radiology and in-house lab (two Catalysts, Procyte, SediVue, blood gas and coagulation analyzers)
Instinct PIMS, with AI scribing and VetSnap drug inventory management
Modern isolation ward, separate critical care ward, and species-specific dog/cat wards
ICU with Casco kennels (heat and oxygen support) and a layout designed to minimize tripping hazards
Daily janitorial service to keep the hospital looking its best

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary of $140,000/year for full-time DVMs with 3–5 years of experience; higher based on skill set and schedule

The Role

We’re hiring VA-licensed DVMs/VMDs for full-time and part-time coverage, including:

• A second doctor for Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am–10 pm
• A doctor for Mondays, 10 am–6 pm
• A doctor for Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6 pm–midnight
