A leading veterinary facility in Springfield, OR is seeking a Veterinarian Criticalist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care medicine, be passionate about animal health, and possess exceptional communication skills to interact with both clients and referring veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide critical care to hospitalized animals, ensuring timely and effective treatment

  • Consult with referring veterinarians to offer specialized guidance and treatment recommendations

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for critically ill patients

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary for optimal recovery

  • Administer medications and other therapeutic interventions

  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide clinical decisions

  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records

  • Communicate effectively with clients, explaining treatment plans and updates on patient progress

Qualifications:
  • DVM or equivalent degree required

  • Board certification in critical care medicine is preferred but not mandatory

  • 2+ years of experience in a veterinary critical care setting is highly preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment

  • A passion for providing top-tier care and improving patient outcomes in critical cases
