Job summary

Walking Paws Rehab is expanding at our Denver location and seeks veterinarians to join a collaborative rehabilitation team in Denver and Boulder, Colorado. We value long appointment times, one-on-one patient care, and a spa-like setting focused on quality medicine.

Rehabilitation experience is not required for candidates transitioning from general practice. We offer certification support, flexible schedules (3 12s, 4 10s, or 5 8s), and both full-time and part-time opportunities, with relocation

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited school.
  • Current Colorado veterinary license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure.
  • Strong interest in canine rehabilitation, pain management, mobility, and improving quality of life.
  • Rehabilitation certification preferred but not required; Walking Paws is open to supporting certification for the right candidate
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and clearly communicate recommendations to pet owners.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with veterinarians, physical therapists, and certified rehabilitation professionals.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to veterinary medicine.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely medical records.
  • Interest in continued learning and professional development.
  • Availability for a consistent part-time or full-time schedule at our Denver and/or Boulder location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality rehabilitation care within a collaborative team.
  • Develop and follow individualized rehabilitation treatment plans.
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners and families about therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, therapists, and rehab professionals.

Walking Paws Rehab is growing! With our brand-new Denver location now open, we are looking for talented professionals to join our collaborative rehabilitation team in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.

Walking Paws offers a unique alternative to traditional veterinary practice. Our beautiful, spa-like facilities are designed around quality medicine, one-on-one patient care, long appointment times, and a supportive multidisciplinary team. If you love helping patients improve their mobility, comfort, and quality of life—but are looking for a different pace and environment than traditional GP or emergency medicine—we would love to meet you!

Rehabilitation experience is not required for veterinarian candidates. We welcome veterinarians interested in transitioning from general practice, emergency, specialty, or other areas of veterinary medicine and are open to supporting the right candidate in pursuing rehabilitation certification.
