The Racing Division of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission is hiring seasonal Veterinary Assistants to support licensed racetrack facilities, with services at Plainridge Park. Reporting to the Test Barn Coordinator, the positions run April through November.
Responsibilities include assisting veterinary and administrative staff, maintaining the test barn, and collecting urine for post-race testing with proper chain-of-custody procedures.

Reporting to the Test Barn Coordinator, this position provides seasonal services at licensed racetrack facilities within the Commonwealth and related duties as assigned. The anticipated dates of service are April through November.
Typical schedule is five hours per day, 1-4 days per week.
The successful candidate must pass an extensive background check conducted by the Massachusetts State Police. It includes a full credit check, CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), fingerprinting, drug test, reference checks, review of IRS Income Tax Transcripts for the last four years, and a Certificate of Good Standing from the Massachusetts Dept of Revenue (DOR).
