The Department of Comparative Medicine at Stanford University i s seeking a V eterinarian to administer appropriate veterinary care to all animals in the Stanford research colonies, and make critical health care decisions in a wide variety of situations. Comparative Medicine is a distinct discipline of medicine that uses animal models of human and animal disease in translational and biomedical research. Our mission is to advance human and animal health through outstanding research, veterinary care, and training.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Graduate of School of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree required, and one year of relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
Advanced knowledge of the veterinary sciences to provide and ensure quality care for research animals under experimental procedures or requiring medical care.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Board eligible or Board certified in a pertinent veterinary specialty. Veterinarian license from at least one state.

The expected pay range for this position is $160,953 to $197,562.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
