Job summary

Aspetuck Animal Hospital in New Preston, CT, a Rarebreed partner, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our busy, AAHA-accredited practice.

Our team uses the latest diagnostics and offers state-of-the-art training in a supportive, team-focused environment where clients and patients come first.

Career rewards include a base salary of $135,000–$165,000 per year plus production, eligible sign-on or relocation bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• D.V.M. degree required.
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a veterinary hospital setting preferred.
• Internship training preferred but not required.
• Ability to attain CT Veterinary License.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field.
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well pet care.
• Read and interpret radiograph and ultrasound studies (telemedicine available for difficult cases).
• Perform dental procedures.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
