Job summary

Snoots in Clifton, NJ is launching its US clinic and seeks a Veterinarian to join our founding clinical team to deliver high-quality, accessible primary care.

Our membership model enables earlier care, preventive medicine, and stronger connections with patients, while maintaining pragmatic, evidence-based practice. You’ll help shape the US model from day one, with equity in Snoots and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• DVM licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• Ideally 2+ years of clinical experience.
• Passionate about improving access to veterinary care.
• Comfortable practicing pragmatic, evidence-based medicine.

Snoots was built on a simple belief: good veterinary care should be accessible to every pet.

Too many pets receive delayed or declined care because of cost. We believe that's a systems problem — and we've built a model designed to change it.

In the UK, Snoots has grown quickly through a membership-based approach focused on preventative medicine, continuity, and removing financial barriers to care. Now we're bringing Snoots to the United States — and Clifton, NJ is our first US clinic.

The Opportunity

As a Veterinarian, you'll join our founding US clinical team and work alongside our Founder and Chief Vet to deliver high-quality, accessible primary care.

Our membership model allows families to seek help earlier, gives us greater opportunity to focus on prevention, and lets you build genuine relationships with your patients over time.

If you've worked in shelter medicine, community medicine, nonprofit practice, or another access-to-care setting, many of our principles will feel familiar: prevent disease where you can, use resources thoughtfully, meet clients without judgement, and find pragmatic ways to get animals the care they need.

You’ll be part of a small team where your judgement, ideas, and experience will help shape how Snoots practises in the US from day one.

Who You Are

• A DVM licensed, or eligible for licensure, in New Jersey
• Ideally 2+ years of clinical experience
• Passionate about improving access to veterinary care
• Comfortable practising pragmatic, evidence-based medicine
• A clear and compassionate communicator
• Collaborative, adaptable, and excited to help build something new

Experience in shelter medicine, community medicine, nonprofit veterinary care, HQHVSN, or access-to-care programs is particularly welcomed, but isn't required.

You don't need startup or corporate experience. You do need to believe that excellent veterinary medicine and accessible veterinary medicine shouldn't be mutually exclusive.
