Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Ohio seeks an Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care. You will work independently in the field with strong support from a collaborative leadership team and VetCare specialists, delivering meaningful medical care in homes across Cleveland and surrounding areas.

Position Overview

As an Associate Veterinarian with Heartstrings Pet Hospice, you will provide compassionate, gentle in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care. You'll work independently in the field while being fully supported by a collaborative medical leadership team, dedicated Veterinary Care Specialists (VCS), and strong operational infrastructure. Requirements

Veterinarian Core Responsibilities

• Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets
• Guide families in making end‑of‑life decisions for their pets
• Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their excellent care

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary school
• Active (or ability to obtain) veterinary license in the state of practice
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends as part of a rotating schedule
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check post-hire and prior to their associated start date
