The Ann Arbor Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited, multi-doctor general practice that has been serving Ann Arbor and the surrounding area for nearly a century. We are privately and locally owned.

In addition to pre-booked wellness appointments, we offer same-day appointments for patients’ urgent care needs.

We strive to make work-life balance a top-priority, and have made many changes in the last few years to help make that a reality. Our DVM group is highly collaborative and we regularly consult with each other on cases. In addition, we have advanced medical equipment, an in-house laboratory, and a highly skilled group of LVTs and assistants who are ready to support you in practice.

Veterinarian Job Qualifications:

· 2+ years experience as a small animal veterinarian (preferred)

· Licensed to practice as a DVM in the state of Michigan (required)

· Full-time or Part-time

Veterinarian Key Job Duties:

· Perform physical examinations and other appropriate diagnostic procedures

· Diagnose medical/surgical conditions and discuss treatment options with clients

· Perform medical procedures as needed (e.g., routine surgeries weekly, treatments for acute and chronic health conditions / injuries, emergency surgeries for imminently life-threatening conditions, treatments for acute toxin exposure)

· Keep thorough and accurate medical records for all patients seen

· Health insurance (up to $345 monthly employer contribution toward premium costs)

· Substantial annual budget for individual Continuing Education opportunities (up to $4,000 + cost of registration, wet labs, etc.)

· We reimburse: Small Animal Malpractice Insurance coverage, licensing fees, and approved national/local association dues

· Our full-time Veterinarians typically work around 36 to 39 hours a week, and their average annual pay is about $150,000
