Job summary

Veterans Village of San Diego, Inc. is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to cultivate relationships with veterans, government agencies, military units, and community organizations, increasing awareness of clinic services and referrals.

The role executes targeted outreach and represents the Cohen Military Family Clinic at events. The position is full-time, exempt, based out of Torrance, CA, with travel to various locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
• 2–3 years in outreach and marketing activities preferred.
• Military experience and mental health outreach experience with veterans organizations is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Outgoing, pleasant, professional demeanor.
• Ability to create and maintain community contacts and present Cohen Military Family Clinic messaging.
• Ability to present clear oral and written communications.
• Willingness to travel to various locations.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with veterans, government agencies, military units, and community organizations.
• Develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
• Represent the clinic at community events and manage messaging across stakeholders.
• Adhere to internal controls and perform additional duties as assigned.
