Job summary

The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in Nashville seeks a Physician to provide orthopedic care to Veterans both clinically and surgically within a large, academic VA practice affiliated with Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The role involves staff clinics, all orthopedic procedures, and inpatient/outpatient services with on-call duties. Must hold MD/DO with unrestricted US license; joint replacement experience is highly preferred. Competitive total rewards package offered.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an approved US school
  • Current unrestricted medical license in the US
  • Board eligibility/certification in orthopedic surgery
  • Joint replacement experience preferred
  • English language proficiency (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

  • Provide orthopedic care to Veterans clinically and surgically
  • Staff orthopedic clinics and perform all orthopedic procedures
  • Maintain inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services
  • Take rotating on-call duties
  • Ensure timely medical records and documentation
