Job summary

Cetechs seeks a Nursing Assistant to support Veterans at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan, WY. The role involves direct patient-care under supervision, aiding with daily activities, and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate inpatient care.

Full-time on-site position with schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants must have current CPR and BLS, and at least 6 months of direct patient-care experience within the last 3 years.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association vendor.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 6 months of direct patient-care experience within the previous 3 years.
• Resume demonstrating education and professional qualifications appropriate to the position.
• Ability to meet VA health, immunization, background and training requirements.
• VA healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient-care assistance under appropriate clinical supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and routine care.
• Support nursing personnel in delivering assigned patient care.
• Observe patients and communicate changes or concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, transport and safety.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow VA policies, clinical procedures and standards of conduct.
• Complete required documentation and training.
• Maintain CPR and BLS certification throughout the assignment.
