U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a physician to lead and coordinate clinical and administrative functions within the REC ICC, including inpatient and outpatient palliative care, home-based services, and related programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with federal standards, and collaboration with medical staff. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, potential Education Debt Reduction Program eligibility, and a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay

Competenze

• U.S. citizenship required for appointment.
• MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States/territory/DC.
• Residency Training completed in ACGME/AOA accredited program or equivalent.
• English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Preferred experience: leadership, coalition-building, strong communication.

Mansioni

• Oversee the REC ICC Director's program and related services (CLC, PCH, HCBS, HBPC, etc.).
• Coordinate administrative and clinical functions with supervising physicians and managers.
• Support compliance with VHA, Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with quality teams to address external accreditation and internal evaluations.
• Provide clinical oversight of the CLC admission process and support nursing staff.
• Lead quality improvement, infection control, and patient-safety initiatives.
• Educate staff and ensure adherence to VHA policies and guidelines.
