Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home, operated by the State of Missouri, is seeking a Custodial Assistant to maintain a safe, clean living environment for Veterans, their families, visitors and staff. Hourly wages range from $16.99 to $17.09 on day shift and $18.99 to $19.09 on evening shift.

The role supports housekeeping tasks, equipment operation, and coordination with nursing staff. Qualifications include 0–1 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the Home – dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, scrub, wax, and/or spot clean as assigned
• Move furniture to adequately clean
• Climb ladders, stairwells, or steps to reach objects
• Operate large and small power-driven machinery such as vacuum, buffer, or similar equipment
• Use sanitizing agents and disinfectants in a safe and proper manner
• Stock soap, towel and toiletry dispensers
• Work closely with nursing department to determine tasks
