Job summary

The State of Missouri, representing the Missouri Veterans Home, seeks a Custodial Assistant dedicated to keeping a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Veterans, their families, visitors and staff. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain all areas, assist with routine maintenance, and work closely with nursing staff to support daily operations.

This hourly position offers day and evening shifts with pay ranges of $16.99–$17.09 and $18.99–$19.09, respectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the Home - dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, scrub, wax, and/or spot clean as assigned
• Move furniture to adequately clean
• Climb ladders, stairwells, or steps to reach objects
• Operate large and small power-driven machinery such as vacuum, buffer, or similar equipment
• Use sanitizing agents and disinfectants in a safe and proper manner
• Stock soap, towel and toiletry dispensers
• Work closely with nursing department to determine tasks
