Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Social Worker to join the Outpatient Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP).

The role requires a CSWE-accredited MSW and licensure at the independent level to practice social work in the GS-9 to GS-11 range. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and delivering veteran-centered interventions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensure/certification at independent practice level required for social workers (GS-0185).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Veterans’ psychosocial needs with assessment and treatment planning.
• Engage with Veterans, families, and caregivers to support recovery goals.
• Provide care within a team-based Outpatient Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP).
