The Nurse Practitioner Group, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the VBA MDE program, stationed at Culver City and Pasadena locations. This patient-facing role performs EKGs, PFTs, phlebotomy, vital signs, lab collection, and front/back-office tasks under supervision.

You will work in a healthcare setting with a multidisciplinary team, using EMR and MS Office tools, with travel between facilities as needed.

Competenze

Associate degree in Medical Assisting or equivalent.
CMA certification if required by state.
Phlebotomy certification when required by state.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Must pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and travel between work locations.

Mansioni

Perform EKGs, PFTs, phlebotomy and other labwork/specimen collection, vital signs and other clinical tasks as assigned.
Labs will be sent to LabCorp or Quest for testing.
Training will be required and offered for PFTs.
Greet Veterans and guide them to exam rooms.
Report no-shows to the client.
Maintain tidy and organized facilities.
Utilize EMR and MS Office Suite software.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, data entry and assist in examination process under physician direction.
Manage supply inventory and escalate gaps.
Assist with other site duties as assigned.
