The Salvation Army Southern California Division is seeking a Supervising Career Development Specialist in the Veterans Employment Services program. The role oversees a team delivering employment services, ensures timely work completion, data accuracy and reporting to the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in homelessness services.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory position.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in employment services.

Responsibilities

• Develop a program design and strategy for a Career Development Team.
• Provide oversight into client assessment, case management and service provision.
• Provide direct supervision of a Career Development Team including ongoing monitoring and evaluation of activities and staff performance.
• Monitor and meet required benchmarks in enrollments and placements on a quarterly basis.
• Assist the Program Manager in capturing DATA for Salesforce and internal CIS reports.
• Train and become secondary user for the VGRS system required by DOL.
• Review and approve employee time sheets daily.
• Conduct workshops for homeless veterans on resume building and interviewing.
• Collaborate with partners for veteran referrals and workshops.
